Will Godmode Get a Sequel?

Let me start this article by thanking every single one of you that took the time to purchase and/or download a copy of Godmode. Even those of you who weren’t impressed with it. I appreciate you all giving my story and ideas a chance.

I saw in one of the reviews of Godmode that the reader noticed I left some plot points open, which he thought was a setup for a possible sequel. The reader was very astute in that regard, because that was exactly my intent.

Whenever I write a novel, I always leave room for follow-up stories. Had The leopard man been a bigger success, I could of spun off at least three more adventures starring Ashlynn. And with “Double Entry,” I had thought about doing a street-lit styled follow-up focusing on Calloway’s quest for redemption. And if you go to http://theseizurecomic.com, you’ll see my efforts to continue The Seizure’s saga past the first graphic novel. Franchising an intellectual property is good business sense, because it allows you to make more income off of a single property. And Godmode is no different.

I’ve got a loose plot for Godmode 2, which actually introduces Elijah’s daughter Elisha as a central character. I wanted to explore her psyche and see what happens when she is enhanced the way her father was…and what happens when daddy and daughter meet up again. I still haven’t come up with a good name for the second book. I originally was going to call it Godmode: redemption, but I wanted something more aggressive, like “Retaliation” (which was taken by GI JOE2) or “retribution.” And then there’s Godmod3: Endgame. Which I haven’t even begun brainstorming about. I just know that it will be the final confrontation between Elijah and Mulder with everything on the line.

But all of that is for the future. If the first Godmode story isn’t a success, then there’s really no need to invest the time, energy and brainpower into writing a sequel. So do me a favor and buy YOUR copy of this Sci-fi survival horror novel right now (it’s still a buck if you download it), to facilitate putting more stories from this world out!
