“I Fight Monsters” T-shirts available now!

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, and let you know that the Official GODMODE “I Fight Monsters” line of merchandise is now available. it features the “I fight monsters” phrase on top of an image of one of the plethora of Godmode Monsters (in this case, the Jelly Rat Half naked Mole Rat half Jellyfish hybrid). As with all GODMODE merchandise, you can get this in a wide variety of items, from T-shirts to Coffee mugs to Cellphone cases and everything in between.

 

But this begs a larger question. What does it mean to fight monsters? For Elijah Turner, this is a very real and tangible issue, because the monsters he fights are physical and real. These are bizarre creatures that can and will kill him if he is careless. But not all of us have physical monsters to fight, but yet we still fight monsters. The Monster is that larger-than-life obstacle that you struggle to get past, that problem that will destroy you if you don’t find a way to deal with it. Maybe your monster is an addiction you can’t shake. Maybe your monster is a traumatic event that happened in your past that has altered the way you look at the world and act within it. Maybe your monster is debt, and the bad money management habits that lead to debt. I believe everyone has a monster they are dealing with, and obstacle that seems to high to climb over.

Now, I’m not going to sermonize or anything like that (it’s not a bad idea, though. Maybe I should talk to a pastor about this concept for one of his next sermons…) but I will say that if you’re refusing to let your monster rule over you and define your life, if you are actively working to overcome your obstacle and you haven’t given up or won’t give up, then “I Fight Monsters” is your declaration to the world that you are bigger and stronger that what is tormenting you and you will have the victory. in fact, you may believe you already have the victory and you’re just working to see it manifest. If that’s you, then this line of merchandise is for you.
